$375,000 – Settlement After Cedar Rapids Nursing Home Resident Had a Sore Not Treated for Weeks Leading to Infection and Death

A 90-year-old Cedar Rapids nursing home resident mistreated at the care facility and this neglect ultimately led to her death. She suffered from several pressure sores which grew infected due to lack of care. The facility was cited by the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals for negligence.
